Detailed list of winners in Bihar assembly poll 2010

 Results of Bihar assembly election 2010 are declared. NDA won 206 constituency seats where as RJD- LJP could bag only 25. Congress has won 4 seats and independents and others 8 among 243 assembly seats in Bihar. It is worth noted that the poll was conducted in six phases.

Bihar Assembly Election 2010: Bihar Elects Nitish Kumar Chief Minister

Nitish Kumar is going to be elected again as Bihar Chief Minister. Trends are available for all seats in Bihar Assembly. Nitish Kumar led JD(U) – BJP alliance is heading towards two third majority.  The alliance is leading in about two hundred seats where as RJD (Lalu Prasad Yadav) and LJP (Rambilas Paswan) alliance is trailing far behind. They are leading only in 30 seats in Bihar assembly elections 2010. This is less than half they won in the last assembly election 2005. RJD and LJP alliance bagged 70 seats in the last assembly poll in Bihar.

Indian National Congress is limited to 7 seats so far despite all its efforts. Prime Minister Manmohan Singh himself along with Chair Person Sonia Gandhi and General Secretary Rahul Gandhi  had campaigned vigorously for Indian National Congress in this Bihar Poll.

Independents and others are also put in margin. They are leading only in seven seats. This is the latest update in Bihar election results. Please stay tuned with us in our News site.

Mr. Brian Trotter, Chairman London 2010  presenting the Best of Exhibit award to Mr. Pradip Jain, Aerophilatelist India News :  INDIA SHINES AT LONDON 2010 WORLD STAMP EXHIBITION  Gold Medal and best of Class Award came to India, Patna (Bihar) Mr. Pradip Jain, Aerophilatelist.   London 2010 World stamp exhibition 8th - 15th May : Festival of Stamps is a year-long programme taking place just once every ten years, which aim to showcase, celebrate and raise public awareness of stamps, stamp designs and postal heritage. The Festival also marks the centenary of the accession of George V, the philatelist king.  This 8-day stamp spectacular is one of the highlights of the London 2010 Festival of Stamps.   Venue for London 2010 Stamp exhibition (Entrance)   The 75 countries participated in this grand show and 1000's of visitor came to see the show everyday. There is much to see at the show, with over 200 stand holders, including many foreign postal administrations, plus numerous societies represented. This innovative approach makes it possible for over 2,400 frames of material shown in 8 days. Each frame holds 16 stamp album sheets, so that's a lot of stamps in total!   Gold Medal and The best of Class Award came to India  (Patna, Bihar)  Mr. Pradip Jain, Aerophilatelist  for his one frame exhibit "The Development of Airmail Route between Cairo and India until 1929" as well as his son Mr. Pragya Kothari  also awarded   LARGE SILVER for his 5 frames exhibit  and the other exhibitor from Patna, Mr. Lallan Prasad Singh (Patna) has also won Silver Medal.

Rajdhani Express derailed in Bihar

Bhubaneshwar- Delhi Rajdhani Express derailed near Gaya in Bihar. Eight bogies of Rajdhani express derailed in this accident. No casualty or injury is reported so far. Railway traffic is suspended for both up and down routes for some time according to Mr. Sinha, ADRM, Mugalsarai. Rescue team from Gaya has startedtheir work at the place of accident.

Naxalites blown the Railway track between Gaya and Mughalsarai 25 KM away from Gaya railway station. The accident caused out of these terrorist activity. Naxalites have blown railway tracks several times in Bihar.
Bihar has become place for Naxalite movements. They are trying to disrupt public life and to damage public properties in order to get attention. However, these types of activities do not bring sympathy towards their rebellion movements.

Bihar Government is trying hard to control Naxalite movements but it seems that it will take long time to control them.
