Rajdhani Express derailed in Bihar

Bhubaneshwar- Delhi Rajdhani Express derailed near Gaya in Bihar. Eight bogies of Rajdhani express derailed in this accident. No casualty or injury is reported so far. Railway traffic is suspended for both up and down routes for some time according to Mr. Sinha, ADRM, Mugalsarai. Rescue team from Gaya has startedtheir work at the place of accident.

Naxalites blown the Railway track between Gaya and Mughalsarai 25 KM away from Gaya railway station. The accident caused out of these terrorist activity. Naxalites have blown railway tracks several times in Bihar.
Bihar has become place for Naxalite movements. They are trying to disrupt public life and to damage public properties in order to get attention. However, these types of activities do not bring sympathy towards their rebellion movements.

Bihar Government is trying hard to control Naxalite movements but it seems that it will take long time to control them.

Bihar Bandh

RJD leader Lalu Prasad Yadav called Bihar Bandh on January 28, 2010. The strike collapsed life in many places. LJD of Rambilas Paswan also joined the strike.

Followeres of Lalu Prasad and Rambilas Paswan disturbed whole Bihar and created lot of nuisance according to an E-TV report.

They have beaten common people and thew commodities and selling items of fruit and vegetable sellers at Araria near Farbishganj. They have disturbed urban life even in the capital city of Patna. Lalu Prasad Yadav was sent to jail for a while and released after some time.

Both Lalu Prasad Yadav and Rambilas Paswan lost their ground in last Assembly and Parliament elections. They are trying to find their grounds again in Bihar for coming assembly election..

It is worth noted that Nitish Kumar of JDU has taken as Chief minister of Bihar last after assembly election. He has controlled chaotic situation in Bihar and handled the state well. Bihar is coming up in economic front in his reign.

Bihar is one of the most important state (Province in India).Jain monks travel bare foot. They are pedestrians and never use any vehicle. This very activity of Jain monks and nuns are called  Bihar. Similarly Buddhist shrines are also called Bihar.

Large number of Jain monks and nuns had been continually traveling through Bihar in ancient India. Similarly Ashoka the great built large number of Buddhist shrines in the then Magadh. Both these causes the place to be named as Bihar.

Ganga, the sacred river flows through the Bihar making the land fertile. Pataliputra, an ancient city was the capital of Magadh.  We know that Magadh was the most powerful state in ancient India through Mourya, Kushan, Shung and Gupta dynasty. Pataliputra (Patna) is the capital of Bihar presently.

Both Lord Mahavira and Lord Buddha were from Bihar. Bihar was an important place for both Jain and Buddha religion. Many Jain and Buddhist pilgrimage centers such as Rajagriha, Vaishali, Kshatriyakund, Kundalpur, Buddha Gaya, Mithila  are situated in Bihar along with many Hindu pilgrimage centers.
